What is the SEED Programme?
SEED stands for Social Entrepreneurship Experience and Development Programme, a breakthrough initiative to raise awareness for social entrepreneurship in Singapore. The programme kick started on 12 June, where 60 selected youths across schools and institutions in Singapore participated in a Social Entrepreneurship One-Day Tour. The youths visited Social Enterprises like Dignity Kitchen, Bizlink and Eighteen Chefs to get a glimpse into how these social enterprises work. Following the day tour, the youths got the chance to intern at various social enterprises in Singapore ranging from the food and beverage industry to the environmental sector. These social enterprises include Breakthrough café, Ground-up Initiative, Relief 2.0, Immanuel Beauty School, Better Barista, Adrenalin Events and many more.
So what will you get from the conference?
These 60 youths who have participated in the internships will be sharing about their personal experiences at the social enterprises they interned at! You will be able to hear the youth perspective of social entrepreneurship in Singapore, and get to ask the youths questions as well! Want to hear first-hand insights about any of the social enterprises listed? Do not miss this chance to find out more!
Also, Minister of State Mr Lawrence Wong will be gracing the event as the Guest-of-Honour, so you can look forward to an engaging sharing session between Mr Lawrence Wong and the youths!
